Mr. Pitkin has over 15 years of experience in the Finance & Banking, Mining and Tunnelling industries working on major projects with top-tier customers. Mr. Pitkin joined Becker Mining Australia in 2018 as the CSO. He was responsible for activities covering a successful growth strategy and company integration. Mr. Pitkin brings a strong understanding of mining development strategies to the role. He has an exceptional focus on winning work, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and a deep operational understanding drawn from many years of on the ground work in the Asia Pacific region.
Daniel Edmonds
General Manager
Mr Edmonds graduated with a Diploma of Electrical Engineering from Newcastle College and has significant experience in Customer Engagement and Project Management. Mr Edmonds has a demonstrated history of project management and operations with many major projects across the Australian and International mining & tunnelling industries.
Prior to working with the company Mr Edmonds has worked with international electrical and communications companies and is experienced in HV and LV electrical, generating, control, communication, and data network systems.
Chris McCabe
Production Manager
Mr McCabe has more than 15 years experience in the mining industry. Coming from a client-focused trades background working with and for some of the largest coal mining companies in the world, Mr McCabe brings a high-level knowledge of Safety and workmanship standards to Becker Mining Australia.
Having joined the business in 2017 at a trades level Mr McCabe has grown with the company obtaining roles of Leading hand, electrical supervisor and now manages a large team of electrical and mechanical trades and apprentices. With an intimate knowledge of our customer's needs and expectations, Mr McCabe strives to deliver compliant equipment that ensures reliable operation for our customers underground.
Jarred Fiddes
Operations Manager
Mr Jarred Fiddes has over 10 years of experience in the mining industry, servicing many top-tier customers along the east coast of Australia. Mr Fiddes first joined Becker Mining Australia in 2016 as Workshop Electrical Co-ordinator, since establishing himself in the business Mr Fiddes has grown with the company and has obtained roles such as Workshop Manager, Site Services Engineer and currently holds the position of National Product Manager.
With a demonstrated focus on safety, leadership, project management, Mr Fiddes ensures our engagement with clients across the board is strong and that our products are fit for purpose to give our company the best rate of success.
Leigh Robinson
Head of Digital Mining Services
Mr Robinson brings 15 years of mining experience and 26 years in information technology, and communications. He has combined his knowledge of both and successfully provided many tailored technology solutions to the mining and tunnelling industries over the past 15 years. These include real-time location services, networking, communication systems, vehicle and fleet management systems including PDS, both in hard rock and coal in both open pit and underground operations.
As the Head of Digital Mining Services, Mr Robinson's focus is ensuring we deliver industry-relevant, tested, and proven technology solutions to our clients. Leigh aims to work closely together with our clients to achieve this as trusted technology partners.
